If an alert is issued for you,be it Silver-Purple or Lavender and you are found safe and absolutely no foul play was involved, YOU SHOULD BE FORCED TO REPAY ANY AND ALL COSTS SPENT LOOKING FOR YOU. I AM TIRED OF THESE PATHETIC AMBER ALERTS EVERYDAY ONLY TO FIND THE IRRESPONSIBLE INDIVIDUAL WAS VISITING GRANDMA!

The "Silver Alert" is one of the most abused 'systems' in NC! There are NO guidelines, and therefore, it has become the classification for everything that doesn't meet the criteria for Missing Person, etc. Or, is it that the responding LEO doesn't want to do the necessary work? Just curious.
