— Missing Cary teen Victoria "Vicky" Huerta was found Tuesday and safely returned home to her family, police said.

“We are happy to reunite Vicky with her family and that this had a happy ending,” Capt. Michael Williams said in a news release.

The 17-year-old girl had been last seen at her home on Jerry Drive at 7:30 a.m. on April 9, police said. She was reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children as an "endangered runaway."

Police did not release information on her whereabouts over the last 11 days.

"If she is 17, isnt she old enough to leave when she wants too? I have been on my own since I was 15. Seems like she is old enough.."

No, in North Carolina the age is 18. My granddaughter went through all that with her dad. End result...She now lives in Oklahoma, and wants absolutely nothing to do with her dad.

I hope this is a happy ending and she doesn't leave again. The parents must be so relieved! I know I am.
