Missing Baby Found; Police Still Looking for Mother

An 8-month-old little boy is safe after Fayetteville police said his 15-year-old mother took him and ran away.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — An 8-month-old little boy is safe after Fayetteville police said his 15-year-old mother took him and ran away.

Efanna Malloy was reported as a runaway to Fayetteville detectives on Thursday afternoon. She was last seen leaving her mother's home at 1038 Grandby Court with her son, Adrionte Malloy, sometime on Wednesday, detectives said.

Malloy does not have legal custody of her son, who was placed in the care of his grandmother by the Department of Social Services.

Authorities said Adrionte Malloy was found, but details of his return are not yet known. Authorities are still looking for Efanna Malloy

Efanna Malloy is described as a black female with medium build, standing 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighing 150 pounds. She often wears her black hair in a ponytail. Police said more detailed descriptions and photographs of her were not available.

Anyone who knows of Malloy's whereabouts is asked to call 911 or the Fayetteville Police Department at 910-433-1830.
