NASHVILLE, TN — On Thursday, Miranda Lambert, Mayor Megan Barry and volunteers walked 70 shelter dogs from Nissan Stadium to the Walk of Fame Park.

The goal is to get every one of those dog a forever home during the CMA Music Festival.

"So many shelter pets need a home, so we are going to march to raise awareness," said Lambert in a statement. "Country music has the best fans in the world, and together we can help so many animals find amazing homes."

An adoption drive will be set up at CMA Fan Fair near Music City Center. The adoption drive will include a puppy corral, a photo both and plenty of dogs in need of forever homes.
