Milk prices will probably NOT be rising in January

A number of blog readers have posted recently about the possibility of milk prices doubling in January due to expiration of the 2008 farm bill. The good news is that a deal has been reached and prices should not be rising...at least not in January.

A number of blog readers have posted recently about the possibility of milk prices doubling in January due to the expiration of the 2008 farm bill. The good news is that a deal has been reached in Congress and prices should not be rising...at least not in January. The bill has not passed the House and Senate yet so we will have to wait and see what the final version entails.

You can read more about the farm bill and the extension at the link in the box above.
