— Miley Cyrus canceled her "Bangerz" tour stop in Charlotte scheduled for Monday night after coming down with the flu, concert promoter Live Nation said in a press release.

Cyrus has been ordered to rest, but she is expected to perform Tuesday night at the PNC Arena in Raleigh. Tickets are still available.

The Charlotte cancelation took place minutes before the singer was to take the stage at the Time Warner Cable Arena. Tickets will be refunded at the point of purchase with online and phone orders being automatically refunded.

Cyrus Tweeted that she was in "excruciating pain" last night. It is unclear if she was referencing the flu or her emotional state after the recent death of her dog, Floyd. Over the weekend, she sang to a giant replica of the dog during her show in Brooklyn.

Yes we can say Miley is "making it" on her own and not taking handouts. However she is a terrible role model for young people with her sexually provocative style, her mouth (and I don't mean her tongue), and her nonchalant use of various drugs. No way would my teen ever be allowed to see her in concert. If I truly had my way, my teen wouldn't own any of her music either. I pray that when my daughter gets to be that age, she will have better taste than that. And let me be fair...this includes Miley, but certainly doesn't end with her. Too many entertainers (young and old) go down this path. It's sad that so many people buy this garbage.

I hope Miley feels better! I may not care enough to go to her show, but she has many fans whom bought tickets and were disappointed to not see her perform.

Don't particularly like her antics, but her music/songs are very good.

She's repulsive. Let Charlotte have her tonight.

Wow, all this hate for a show none of you are going to see anyhow. Good for her, she made it herself at a young age, it may not last forever, but at least she's working a legal job and isn't some lazy do-nothing asking for a handout. While I personally don't care for her music, wish her the best in a very difficult entertainment world- to paraphrase Andy Warhol- everyone get's their 15 minutes.

Some people will buy tickets so they can admire her sexy body and twerking.
