Michelle Obama to visit Fayetteville

First lady Michelle Obama will be in Fayetteville on Thursday to help with the filming of a television show to benefit a military family that helps homeless female veterans find housing, the White House said Monday.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — First lady Michelle Obama will be in Fayetteville on Thursday to help with the filming of a television show to benefit a military family that helps homeless female veterans find housing, the White House said Monday.

The appearance is part of Obama's Joining Forces initiative to help military families.

Barbara Marshall is a 15-year Navy Veteran who created The Steps-N-Stages Jubilee House, which provides homeless female veterans with housing and support services.
