Michelle Obama to speak at NC State Tuesday

RALEIGH, N.C. — First lady Michelle Obama is scheduled to campaign for Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton Tuesday afternoon at North Carolina State University.

Obama is scheduled to speak at 3 p.m. at Reynolds Coliseum, at 2411 Dunn Avenue in Raleigh. The speech is expected to focus on urging people to register to vote ahead of the Oct. 14 deadline.

Doors open for the event at 12:15 p.m. Members of the public can sign up online to attend.

North Carolina is considered one of the most competitive states expected to decide the final steps on the path to the 270 electoral votes needed to win the presidency.
