ROANOKE RAPIDS, N.C. — Two men being sought by U.S. Marshals, who were believed to be in Halifax County, have now been spotted back in the Washington D.C. area, according to authorities.

Meeko Sha Carraway and Chamontae Walker are wanted for questioning in connection with a murder in the Washington area, authorities said.

"According to investigators from D.C., the news blitz in the Halifax County area has interrupted (Carraway and Walker's) plans to hang out in the rural areas of the county," the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office said Monday.

"Since the media attention in the Halifax area, there have been numerous sightings of the two suspects in the D.C. area," the statement continued.

Carraway is described as 5-foot-10 and 140 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. Walker is described as 6 feet tall and 155 pounds. He had black hair and brown eyes.

The two are considered armed and dangerous.
