Men sought in Fayetteville armed robbery

Fayetteville Police on Thursday released surveillance photos of two men who robbed a Jersey Mike's restaurant earlier in March.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville Police on Thursday released surveillance photos of two men who robbed a Jersey Mike's restaurant earlier in March.

Police said the two men entered the store at 5815 Yadkin Road shortly after 8:30 p.m. Thursday, March 5. They brandished guns, demanded money and emptied the cash register. They fled with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police said both robbers were black men standing about 6 feet tall with medium builds.

One man wore a black jacket with a fur hood, a face mask, blue T-shirt and white tennis shoes with a blue stripe. The second man wore a black jacket, black bandanna, a brown or tan shirt, and brown or tan, Timberland-style boots.

Anyone with information about the robbery or the men's identity was waked to call Fayetteville Police at 910-533-1856 or Crime Stoppers at 910-483-TIPS (8477). Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for anonymous tips leading to arrests in felony cases.
