Men posing as police burst into Orange County home
Orange County sheriff's investigators are searching for men who identified themselves as police officers during a home invasion early Tuesday.

ORANGE COUNTY, N.C. — Orange County sheriff’s investigators are searching for men who identified themselves as police officers during a home invasion early Tuesday.
Deputies said several men dressed in black burst into the home near N.C. Highway 86, south of Interstate 85, and “gained control over the victms.” No one was hurt, but the family’s dog was shot. The dog was later taken to an animal hospital for treatment.
Deputies said the crime does not appear to be random.
