Men charged in Halifax break-ins, theft of dog, gun
Two Rocky Mount men face charges in connection with three home break-ins in Halifax County Wednesday in which a dog and a gun were stolen, according to the sheriff's office.

Lt. B.L. Martin said that residents reported three home break-ins in the South Brown Road area of Enfield. Shortly thereafter, deputies stopped a car that matched the description given by a witness.
Martin said deputies found stolen property linked to the break-ins in the car and arrested its two occupants.
Rodrick Hill, 22, and Anthony Hendricks, 21, face three counts each of breaking and entering and larceny after breaking and entering, two counts of injury to personal property, and one count each of possession of stolen goods and larceny of a dog.
Hill was also charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, and Hendricks with possession of a stolen firearm.
Hill was granted a $70,000 bond, and Hendricks a $50,000 bond. They are both scheduled to appear in court on March 30.
State Department of Correction records show that Hill has been convicted twice of felony breaking and entering, along with larceny and identity theft, since 2008. He served nearly 1½ years in jail and was released last October.
