— Fayetteville police are searching for two men who were caught on surveillance video robbing a hotel earlier this month.

Police said officers responded to the Rodeway Inn at 1957 Cedar Creek road just before 10 p.m. on June 7 in reference to a reported armed robbery.

Authorities said two men, one with a shotgun in hand, approached the cash register and demanded money. They fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

One man was described as being about 5 feet 8 inches tall, between the ages of 25 and 30 and weighing about 140 pounds. He was wearing a gray hoodie, sweat pants and a white bandana covering his nose and mouth. The second man was described as being about 5 feet 8 inches tall, between 20 to 25 years old and weighing about 160 pounds. He was wearing a hoodie and jeans.

    I was thinking the same thing, and if you look at the video there wasn't many bills in the cash register. Definitely not the sharpest tools in the shed...

    Looks like the PC police must be in charge of investigating this crime. No one wants to address the elephant in the room.
