Raleigh, N.C. — Two men were arrested Wednesday in connection with a check that was stolen from a Raleigh charity.
Dexter Judd, 19, and Ray Cozart, 38, were accused of stealing a blank check from the Martin Luther King Celebration Committee.
Court documents showed the men were charged with making the check payable to themselves for $850.
A spokesperson for the charity said the suspects were not affiliated with the organization, and officials there did not know how they got access to the check.
Both men were being held at the Wake County Jail.
