Medical Helicopter Makes Safe Emergency Landing

GREENVILLE, N.C. — A helicopter from Pitt Memorial Hospital's East Care air-ambulance service made a safe emergency landing Wednesday night, hospital officials said.

The helicopter put down in an open area at Northwest Elementary School outside Greenville, a spokesman said. There were no patients aboard.

The hospital did not disclose the reason for the emergency.
