Mebane man charged in Chapel Hill shooting

A Mebane man was arrested Thursday in connection with a May shooting in Chapel Hill.

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — A Mebane man was arrested Thursday in connection with a May shooting in Chapel Hill.

Cordell Obryan Baldwin, 27, of 317 Boundbrook Drive, was charged with attempted first-degree murder, assault with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and possession of a firearm by a felon. He was being held in the Orange County jail under a $500,000 bond.

Chapel Hill police responded to an apartment in the 300 block of South Estes Drive on May 23 and found one person with a gunshot wound.
