Mebane man accused of concealing human remains

Posted July 26, 2010

— A Mebane man is accused of concealing the remains of a woman.

Michael Charles Dorman II, 32, of 1411 Sundown Drive, is charged with concealing or failing to report a death, according to an arrest warrant obtained at the Durham County Clerk of Court’s Office on Monday.

Though Dorman is from Orange County, authorities said the crime occurred in the city of Durham.

Authorities have not released the identity of the woman whose remains were found.

Dorman was arrested on July 15.

He was being held under a $1 million bond in the Durham County jail on Monday.

I can not put enough into words how CRAZY this man is... He is simply scary......... My friend provided transportation for him, and set me up on a blind date with him.....Okay, he has no TEETH in the front and is an abomination.

I'm sure the bond is high due to they need to investigate, he is a sick little creature, a very sick individual - and I'm sure he will plead insanity - or some mess like that...what I would like to know is he lives in Mebane, and he was concealing a body in Durham, that is just weird.

Well he LOOKS like a nice young man!

This is a very bad, very scary man. He has skated out of some icky charges very lightly, and it may just be that people are actually communicating with each other for a change!

I think a lot of these judges set the bond low to increase the changes that the crimes happen again before trial. I wish all the judges took a lesson from whoever set this bail and erred on the side of caution and set a strong bail.

Decisions are as random as the day is long in our justice system eh?

I am a bit confused in the bond being 1 million. That sounds like a lot for concealing remains. I imagine they are holding him for that bond and then exhuming the remains to see if there is evidence to up the crime to murder 1 or something like that.

$1 Million for this guy for hiding the dead person but only $10K for the guy in the other story who raped the child. Who is making these decisions?
