McCormick recalls oregano over salmonella risk

McCormick & Company has issued a recall of its ground oregano because of a possible salmonella risk.

McCormick & Company has issued a recall of its ground oregano because of a possible salmonella risk.

The recall affects 1,032 cases of the product that were shipped from April to August to stores in 41 states, including North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and Tennessee.

No illnesses have been reported in connection with the product.

The recall affects .75 ounce bottles of ground oregano with the UPC No. 52100003566, and item No. 900356.

Consumers do not need to return the product to the store where it was purchased. Instead, consumers are urged to dispose of the recalled product and its container. Contact McCormick Consumer Affairs at 1-800-632-5847, weekdays from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., for a replacement, refund or questions.
