WAKE FOREST, N.C. — The mayor of Rolesville said on Thursday that a bomb threat on social media directed at Rolesville High School is unsubstantiated.

Mayor Frank Eagles said parents of students at the school should not worry about the threat. Eagles added that the school has two security resource officers, and other officers will be keeping tabs on the school throughout the day.

The threat, Eagles said, is believed to be a hoax, and officials might know who's behind it.

Rolesville High School will operate on a normal schedule on Thursday.
