Mayor, Preds, CMA announce plans for Game 5 & 6 Watch Parties during CMA Fest

"Nashville is not only going to make history on the ice by bringing home the Stanley Cup, but we are making history by setting the gold standard for fan participation both inside and outside of Bridgestone Arena," Mayor Megan Barry says.

That's why Mayor Barry's office, the Predators, Country Music Association and Nashville Convention & Vistors Corp are joining forces to announce plans for what is already considered "Nashville's busiest tourism week."

The press conference is happening Wednesday at 10 a.m., and you can watch a live stream here.

CMA Fest usually incorporates large parts of the downtown area, including will be in full swing during Preds Watch Parties for Game 5 on Thursday and Game Six on Sunday.

Officials estimate that around 50,000 people have ventured downtown to cheer on the Preds during the Stanley Cup Final. When you add the thousands of fans descending on Music City for CMA Fest, it's enough to make your head spin.

Don't worry, Predators fans! CMA Fest won't stop the viewing parties from happening, there are just necessary adjustments to make both happen smoothly.

"As the Preds advance, so do the watch parties," says President and CEO of the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp Butch Spyridon. "The CMA, Predators and Metro have cooperated to extend the viewing parties for Games 5 and 6. We look forward to this continued success."

GAME 5 (AWAY GAME)

Thursday's game will be played in Pittsburgh, and since Nashvillians can catch the game on Channel 4, the Predators decided to host a ticketed watch party inside Bridgestone Arena.

They are making 13,000 general admission tickets available, and as of Wednesday morning, officials estimate about 5,000 are still available.

Tickets are $5 for season ticket holders and $15 for non-season ticket holders, and proceeds benefit the Nashville Predators Foundation.

If you can't get a ticket in time or prefer to watch the game outside, there will be another viewing party on Broadway between 4th and 7th Avenues.

Two giant screens will be set up outdoors on 4th Ave., and between 5th and 6th Ave.

The site opens at 5:30 p.m.

GAME 6 (HOME GAME)

If the Preds win in Game 5, they could take the Cup right here in Music City during Game 6 on Sunday!

The city will host watch parties on Broadway as well as Walk of Fame Park and Ascend Amphitheater.

Broadway will be shut down from 4th to 7th Avenue, where there will be three giant screens. Fans can grab their seats there at 4 p.m.

The watch party in Walk of Fame Park will open as soon as CMA Fest activities wrap up.

Food trucks will be on site, and sodas and beer will be on sale. Bottled water and hot dogs will be on sale at low family-friendly prices.

Families can also catch appearances by Predators mascot GNASH and the Predators Energy Team.

Attendees are invited to bring blankets, collapsible chairs and small bags (no bigger than 12"x12"). Coolers, backpacks and large bags will not be permitted. For a complete list of house rules, click here.

For both games, the Predators will activate Bridgestone Plaza with 300 wristbands available to fans. Times and locations are subject to change for parties. If a Game 7 is necessary, details will be announced later.

If this all sounds like too many people and too lit, Nashvillians can tune into the live broadcast of Game 6 on Channel 4 at 7 p.m.
