Downtown Raleigh's popular natural ice outdoor skating rink will reopen for the season on Nov. 19 (just after the WRAL Raleigh Christmas Parade).
The rink, which will remain open through Jan. 29, will return to City Plaza on Fayetteville Street. Polar Ice House operates the venue, which they're calling Ice Raleigh this year.

Special programming will include live music, two for one days, DJ nights, theme nights, charity events, discounts and other activities.

Operating hours will vary, so it's best to check the website for the latest on the schedule, specials and activities. Admission to the rink will be $10, which includes the skate rental.

Raleigh's annual Winterfest celebration is set for noon to 8 p.m., Dec. 3, on Fayetteville Street. There will be a Ferris wheel, carousel, super slide, Santa's Village, Gingerbread House competition, skating on the rink, the official tree lighting ceremony and more.
