Mark your Calendars: Ben & Jerry's free cone day
My girls and I look forward to this day all year! Ben & Jerry's free cone day is Tuesday, April 14, at shops around the world and across the Triangle.

On this day, you can get a free cone or cup of ice cream at the shops. A limited number of flavors are available, but I still have a hard time picking one!
While the cones are free, the shops usually collect donations for various charities. I usually donate $1 per cone and come away with a key fob that gets me 10 percent off my Ben & Jerry's orders for the rest of the year.
There's often a line, but I've found that they go pretty quickly. And I'm happy to hang out in a line for five or 10 minutes for a free ice cream cone!
