Mark Your Calendar: Marbles' Kickoff to Kindergarten is in June for year-round students
It's time for Marbles Kids Museum's Kick-off to Kindergarten for year-round students. It's 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., June 22, at the downtown Raleigh museum.

This month, some kids are just getting started with their summer vacation. Other kids are winding it down.
The free event for rising kindergartners and their families is a great way to get young kids excited about the big step up to kindergarten. Activities include a practice lunch line, a "radical" recess, the chance to hop on the school bus and more.
There's a lot of drop-in play, but there's also a quick schedule of events. Here it is:
7 p.m.: Meet Letterland characters
A Kickoff to Kindergarten for kids who attend traditional calendar schools is from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Aug. 19.
