Marine dies during fitness test at Camp Lejeune

Camp Lejeune, N.C. — A 39-year-old Marine died early Friday during a physical fitness test at Camp Lejeune, military officials confirmed.
Officials said Lt. Col. Andrew P. Reed collapsed during the run portion of an annual fitness test at about 7:45 a.m.
Lt. Col. Reed served in combat operations during Operation Enduring Freedom in 2004 and Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2005 and 2006 as an assistant logistics officer with the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit.
No other information about the man's death has been released.
