The IMAX theater at Marbles Kids Museum will host a special Lights Up, Sound Down screening of Disney's new live action "Beauty and the Beast."

During the movie, the theater doesn't completely darken and the sound is turned down. It's perfect for anybody with sensory issues, who might not enjoy a dark and loud movie experience. That includes kids with special needs or a preschooler ready for their first movie experience.

Tickets are $7 and available on Marbles' website. The movie is at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 1.
Park West 14 in Morrisville and the AMC theater at The Streets at Southpoint in Durham also offer sensory-friendly screenings. They screened Beauty and the Beast earlier, but have other movies coming up.
