Marbles offers special admission on New Year's Eve

Starting at 1 p.m., Tuesday, admission will be just $2 per person at the downtown Raleigh museum.

Marbles Kids Museum has lined up special activities, hours and an admission deal through the holidays as part of its Winter Wonder Weeks.

On Thursday, which is New Year's Eve, the downtown Raleigh museum will host a special Noon Year's Countdown starting at 11:45 a.m. for those of us who like to be asleep in our beds when it officially becomes 2016. During the countdown, kids can ring in the "noon" year with bubble wrap "fireworks" and a ball drop. This is fun!

If you don't mind heading over there a little bit later on Thursday, Marbles is offering a special admission deal that afternoon. On Thursday, Marbles is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. From 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., admission is just $2 per person. It's usually $5 per person.

Marbles will operate under special hours on New Year's Day. It will be open from noon to 7 p.m. Admission will be the usual $5 per person on Friday.
