Marbles, which is usually open from 9 a.m. to noon, Mondays, will be open for the full day - from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday. The downtown Raleigh museum will host a day of patriotic activities. Also, veterans, active military and their family will receive $1 off museum admission and IMAX documentaries and $2 off IMAX features. Also, veterans and active military receive a free small popcorn with their IMAX movie ticket all day. (Admission to the museum is $5 per person).
And the N.C. Museum of Art, which usually is closed on Monday, will open its east building, home to its new exhibit Porsche by Design, on Monday (when the museum is usually closed). As I wrote in my Weekend Plans post, admission to the Porsche by Design exhibit will be free from Saturday through Monday to all veteran and active duty military and their immediate family.
