Consumer Recall

A variety of trail mix sold at Bass Pro Shops across the country are being voluntarily recalled by the manufacturer due to potential health risks.

Rucker’s Wholesale and Service Co. is recalling bags of Uncle Bucks Sweet & Salty Trail Mix due to the potential presence of Listeria monocytogenes, which can cause serious, and sometimes fatal, infections in young children, frail and elderly people, or those with weakened immune systems.

The recall comes after the manufacture learned from their supplier that sunflower kernels used in the trail mix were recalled for the potential presence of Listeria monocytogenes.

Affected varieties of trail mix were sold in 3-ounce clear bags, carry UPC code 752545073390, and have best by dates between March 14, 2017 and April 18, 2017.

Although no illnesses have been reported, symptoms from eating the affected food can include high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, and abdominal pain. A listeria infection can also lead to stillbirths and miscarriages in pregnant women.

Anybody who wishes to receive a refund for an affected product can call 618-945-2411 or 1-800-663-1857 or email customerservice@ruckerscandy.com
