Suspect who shot at Cumberland County deputy turns himself in
The suspect who has been charged for shoot at a Cumberland County deputy Thursday night turned himself in Friday night.

David Scott Bain is being held at the Cumberland County jail.
Authorities in Sampson County conducted a manhunt on Thursday evening for Bain who shot at a Cumberland County deputy.
Officials said the deputy was mowing the grass at his home on Stedman-Cedar Creek Road when a car slowed down as it was driving by. The deputy saw the barrel of a gun come out of the car's window, and someone started shooting.
The deputy, who was not identified, got into his patrol car and started following the vehicle. The chase continued for roughly five miles into Cumberland County before Bain turned onto a dirt road.
He eventually came to a stop, jumped out of the car and ran off. Authorities caught the passenger in the vehicle, but the person's name was not released.
The deputy was not injured.
