DURHAM, N.C. — A man met with an armed response when he tried rob a Domino's Pizza store at 3001 Holloway St. in Durham around 8:30 p.m. Saturday.

Police said the man did not get any money, but did get in one shot to the left arm of a manager before fleeing in a brown or tan Oldsmobile.

The manager, whose wound is not life-threatening, returned fire, but police said they couldn't be sure if he hit the man or not.

No arrests have been made. The manager could not describe the would-be robber because he had his face covered.

Workers said the manager is at home recovering, and the business was reopened Sunday.
