FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A 32-year-old woman and a 31-year-old man have been charged in the armed robberies of two restaurants in Fayetteville last month.

Samantha Jean Pfau and David Benjamin Clark Jr., both of 5104 Doc Bennett Road, are charged in connection with the Aug. 14 robbery of a Subway restaurant at 2908 Raeford Road and the Aug. 18 robbery of a Baskin Robbins on Owen Drive.

Pfau and Clark both face two counts each of robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon. They were placed in the Cumberland County Detention Center under separate $30,000 bonds.

In both robberies, a woman bought food, and when the cash register was opened, she pulled out a handgun and demanded money, police said. She left in a teal or green Nissan Altima in the company of a man.
