Man, woman charged in Fayetteville restaurant robberies
A 32-year-old woman and a 31-year-old man have been charged in the armed robberies of two restaurants in Fayetteville last month.
Posted — UpdatedSamantha Jean Pfau and David Benjamin Clark Jr., both of 5104 Doc Bennett Road, are charged in connection with the Aug. 14 robbery of a Subway restaurant at 2908 Raeford Road and the Aug. 18 robbery of a Baskin Robbins on Owen Drive.
Pfau and Clark both face two counts each of robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon. They were placed in the Cumberland County Detention Center under separate $30,000 bonds.
In both robberies, a woman bought food, and when the cash register was opened, she pulled out a handgun and demanded money, police said. She left in a teal or green Nissan Altima in the company of a man.
