Police are investigating the shooting of a man who walked into WakeMed's emergency room early Friday.

<b>RALEIGH, N.C.</b> — Police are investigating the shooting of a man who walked into WakeMed's emergency room early Friday.

The man had suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

Officers said the victim said he was shot along New Bern Avenue and the Beltline, but would not give his name or cooperate with police.

Raleigh police and the City/County Bureau of Identification officers were searching for any evidence in the New Bern Avenue area.
