Raleigh, N.C. — Raleigh police on Friday released the names of three people who were shot a day earlier near Coleman and Tipton streets.
Anthony Marcell McLean Jr., 23, Sandy Lammaric Spence, 29, and Joshua Qurain Walker, 22, were injured in the incident, which happened shortly after 2 p.m. Thursday. Their injuries were not life-threatening.
Police are still searching for a suspect described as in his late teens to early 20s, standing about 6 feet tall and weighing about 185 pounds. He was wearing a white jacket with black writing or graphics on it, and he was last seen headed on foot toward Rock Quarry Road.
It's not immediately clear where the shooting happened, but residents who live in the area said it appeared the victims ran after being shot.
One stumbled to the nearby Helping Hand Mission, at 623 Rock Quarry Road, where employees there described him as bleeding from the legs. Another was picked up on nearby Cumberland Street, a neighbor there said.
