Man wanted in Roanoke Rapids shooting surrenders
One of two men sought in a recent shooting that critically wounded a Roanoke Rapids man has surrendered, police said Monday.

The May 4 shooting occurred outside a Marathon gas station off N.C. Highway 158 and Zoo Road in Roanoke Rapids. Authorities said Kevin M. Ingram, 29, was sitting in a car with another man when they were robbed at gunpoint, and Ingram was shot in the head during the robbery.
Three men were arrested last week in the case. Lamar Mallory, 16, of Roanoke Rapids, Jasmane T. Clements, 22, of Weldon, and Moncrinique T. Clements, 25, of Weldon, were each charged with attempted murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery.
Marcus Lamont Winborne, 22, of Roanoke Rapids, surrendered to police late Friday and faces the same charges.
A fifth suspect, Quayshawn “Shawn” Rogers, 21, of Roanoke Rapids, is still sought in the case.
