RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police are looking for a man who, they say, hit an officer with a car earlier this month.

A group of police officers was for looking for a suspect in an unrelated crime in the early hours of May 7 when the driver of a sedan struck one of them in the 400 block of North West Street. The officer was not seriously injured, police said.

The driver, whom police identified as Oscar Lamont Vick, 25, then drove about a block before hitting a taxicab. The car was found wrecked and abandoned a short time later at the intersection of North West Street and Wade Avenue.

A passenger in the car, Antonio Jermaine Clark, was later arrested, but Vick remains at large. He stands about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs about 180 pounds.

Police want anyone with information about where he might be or any other information that could assist investigators to call Raleigh Crime Stoppers at 919-834-4357.

Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for anonymous tips that help solve cases.
