Man wanted for two Durham armed robberies

Durham police are searching for a man wanted in connection with two business robberies.

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police are searching for a man wanted in connection with two business robberies.

Authorities said that David Lee Freeman entered the Family Fare at 801 Broad Street on Dec. 26 and demanded cash. He held his hand in his pocket, indicating that he had a gun, and threatened to shoot employees if they did not comply with his demands.

Police said Freeman entered a Subway restaurant at 100 North Miami Boulevard on Jan. 24 and demanded money while threatening to shoot employees.

Freeman is charged with two counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon.
