Man wanted for trying to kill Goldsboro woman

Goldsboro police are searching for the man who they believe shot and wounded a woman Wednesday afternoon.

GOLDSBORO, N.C. — Goldsboro police are searching for the man who they believe shot and wounded a woman Wednesday afternoon.

Police said that Edquan Battle, 24, fired multiple times into a vehicle occupied by Andreana Faison in the 1100 block of Olivia Lane around 1:15 p.m. Faison was injured, but was treated and released by EMS workers at the scene.

Battle is wanted on charges of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and shooting into an occupied vehicle.

He is described as black, 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds. He goes by the nickname "Fat Man."
