A man suspected of shooting at two Cumberland County deputies at a Waffle House in Fayetteville two weeks ago has been apprehended, police said Wednesday.

Donquiez Frankie Wilbridge, 24, of Weeping Willow Way, was taken into custody Tuesday at a Motel 6 on Cedar Creek Road. He is charged with three counts each of assault with a dangerous weapon with intent to kill and possession of a firearm by a felon, two counts of assault on a law enforcement officer with a firearm and one count of discharging a weapon into an occupied vehicle.

Authorities said two deputies were working off-duty at a Waffle House on Yadkin Road on Dec. 2 when someone fired several shots at them before fleeing. The deputies weren't injured.

Wilbridge was being held at the Cumberland County jail under a $287,000 bond.

I bet his mother is saying "It couldn't be him, he would never do that". His father is saying.................

Another notch in the old crimminal record.

Yet another misunderstood young man. I'm sure he wasn't attempting to be a cop killer. Someone needs to talk to this young man and see where we've failed him. He's an asset to our society and doesn't need to be held back by a long criminal record.

Hahaha, sleeping at a Motel 6 in his own hometown. Wonder why he didn't just go home? I think we know the answer................

Next time if he's so bad he should stand still....
