FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police were searching Friday for a man they want to talk to about the death of a 42-year-old woman who was found in her apartment on Nov, 6.

Police investigating reports of a break-in found Lori A. Beaudry dead at her Meadow Apartments home, 6720 Water Trail Drive. She was found face-down on the bed with pillows stacked on her head, and it appeared someone had rummaged through the apartment.

Investigators want to talk to a black man who they say is 5’10” tall, weighs 160 pounds and has a mustache and a goatee. He wears a gold stud earring in the shape of a lion's head.

He was seen on surveillance video at the Wal-Mart store on Ramsey Street. He was wearing a red-and-white baseball cap with the initials “DC” on the front and a hologram sticker on the bill of the cap. He was also wearing a long, red shirt, possibly a sports jersey, and a dark jacket.

He left the store in a white or silver four-door car that had damage to the hood and rear end from what appeared to be an accident.

Police stressed that the man was wanted only for questioning and was not considered a suspect.

Anyone with information regarding the identity of the person in the surveillance photos should call Detectives Jeff Locklear or Tracy Bowman at 910-433-1947 or 910-433-1856. To remain anonymous and receive up to a $1,000 reward, contact Crime Stoppers at 910-483-8477.
