FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A 22-year-old man faces charges in connection with armed robberies in Cumberland, Harnett and New Brunswick counties, according to authorities.

Fayetteville police arrested Antonio Damonte Livingston Wednesday night after stopping a car matching one involved in a robbery in Harnett County, police spokesman Gavin MacRoberts said. Ohat officers found a handgun and other evidence in the car connected to the earlier robbery.

Fayetteville police charged Livingston with carrying a concealed weapon and handed him over to the custody of the Harnett County Sheriff's Office.

The driver, 16-year-old Cheynne Baker, received a citation for driving without a valid license and was released to a relative. Investigators determined that a third person in the car didn't have anything to do with the robbery.

Livingston had an outstanding warrant for robbery with a dangerous weapon in New Hanover County, MacRoberts said.

The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office was also searching for Livingston in connection with the robbery and beating of a deliveryman for China King restaurant on Walter Reed Road in Fayetteville, spokeswoman Debbie Tanna said.

When the 31-year-old deliveryman approached 3268 Reno Drive, one man opened the door of the mobile home, and a second man pushed him from behind into the home, Tanna said. The men repeatedly punched the deliveryman and stole his cash, cell phone and car. The deliveryman managed to get to a nearby home and call for help.

Investigators determined the mobile home is vacant.

Livingston was released from prison last June after serving three years for common-law robbery, receiving a stolen vehicle and being an inmate in possession of a weapon, according to state Department of Correction records.

While in prison, he was cited for 23 infractions, including four for a sexual act, fighting and involvement with a gang.
