When Hoke County deputies arrived at 4239 Old Maxton Highway in Red Springs on Sunday, they found Charles Junior Rowsey sitting in a chair waiting for them and Garrett Locklear on the ground with a laceration to his head.

<b>RED SPRINGS, N.C.</b> — When Hoke County deputies arrived at 4239 Old Maxton Highway in Red Springs on Sunday, they found Charles Junior Rowsey sitting in a chair waiting for them and Garrett Locklear on the ground with a laceration to his head.

Rowsey, 50, struck Locklear with a 2x4 while they argued at his home, deputies said. The men are neighbors.

Rowsey was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.
