Man sought in Wilson bank robbery

Police were searching Friday for a man who robbed a Wilson bank.

WILSON, N.C. — Police were searching Friday for a man who robbed a Wilson bank.

The BB&T branch at 1604 S. Tarboro St. was robbed shortly after 9 a.m., but police said no one was injured.

Investigators identified the robber as Brandon M. Council, 32, of Wilson, and issued a warrant charging him with felony common law robbery.

Anyone with information on Council's whereabouts is asked to call the Wilson Police Department at 252-399-2323 or Crime Stoppers at 252-243-2255.
