Man sought in Johnston bank robbery

— Authorities were searching Friday for a man who robbed a bank in the Cleveland community Thursday.

The man robbed the First Citizens Bank at 120 Glen Road, near the intersection of Interstate 40 and N.C. Highway 42, and fled on foot, authorities said.

He was described as a white man, about 5 feet, 7 inches tall with a medium build and dark hair. He was wearing a gray T-shirt, denim shorts and tennis shoes.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office at 919-989-5000.
