Man Sought in Fayetteville Slaying

Police on Wednesday named a suspect in a recent slaying at the Grove View Terrace complex.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Police on Wednesday named a suspect in a recent slaying at the Grove View Terrace complex.

Warrants have been issued charging William Anthony Lesane Jr., 23, of 835 Schley Drive, with first-degree murder and felony conspiracy in the Jan. 13 shooting death of Corey Thompson.

Thompson, 27, was found slain outside Building 75 at Grove View Terrace. Police haven't disclosed a possible motive for the shooting.

Lesane wasn't in custody Wednesday evening. He was described as a black man, about 5 feet, six inches tall and 140 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
