Man sought in Fayetteville shooting apprehended

Police said Tuesday that a man wanted in a shooting last month at a Fayetteville gas station has been arrested.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Police said Tuesday that a man wanted in a shooting last month at a Fayetteville gas station has been arrested.

Ricky Lavelle Martin Jr. was taken into custody at a home on the 1100 block of Sleepy Hollow Drive, police said.

Martin, 23, of Fayetteville, is charged with attempted first-degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon in connection with a shooting at a gas station at 1913 Ramsey St. on March 10.

He was being held in the Cumberland County jail under more than a $1 million bond.
