SANFORD, N.C. — Sanford police said Tuesday that they are searching for a suspect in a fatal shooting that happened last week.

Investigators say Timotheus Devon Dunbar, 28, of Sanford, was shot once in the head while he was driving on North Horner Boulevard around 11:45 p.m. Friday evening.

Dunbar then crashed his car into an office building at 1142 N. Horner Blvd. He died from his injury at a local hospital.

Police are looking for Kendrell Jamar Sanders, 22, in connection with the crime.

Sanders, who is considered to be armed and dangerous, has a tattoo of a dollar sign on his left cheek and tattoos on his neck as well. Police say he might be in either Sanford or Greensboro.
