Posted December 5, 2012

— Sanford police said Tuesday that they are searching for a suspect in a fatal shooting that happened last week.

Investigators say Timotheus Devon Dunbar, 28, of Sanford, was shot once in the head while he was driving on North Horner Boulevard around 11:45 p.m. Friday evening.

Dunbar then crashed his car into an office building at 1142 N. Horner Blvd. He died from his injury at a local hospital.

Police are looking for Kendrell Jamar Sanders, 22, in connection with the crime.

Sanders, who is considered to be armed and dangerous, has a tattoo of a dollar sign on his left cheek and tattoos on his neck as well. Police say he might be in either Sanford or Greensboro.

Anyone who might see Sanders or know his whereabouts is asked to call 911, police said.
