DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man who threatened to shoot employees during a robbery last week at a Papa John's.

Investigators say the man stopped by the store, at 5318 New Hope Common Drive, shortly before 9:30 p.m. Saturday, asking what time it closed.

He returned 5 minutes later and robbed the store. Although he did not show a weapon, police say he threatened to shoot workers if they did not comply

The man is described as black, in his mid-20s, 6 feet 5 inches tall and about 160 pounds. He was wearing a black do-rag, a dark shirt and black jogging pants.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Durham Police Department at 919-560-4583, extension 29356, or Crime Stoppers at 919-683-1200.
