Man sought in Cumberland sex assault

Fayetteville, N.C. — Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office detectives said Friday that they are searching for a man in connection with an alleged sexual assault of a Fayetteville woman.

The woman said a man gave her a ride Tuesday afternoon from a convenience store in the 500 block of Grove Street. He drove to a secluded location in the Downing Road and N.C. Highway 24 area, where she said she was assaulted.

She told deputies she managed to get away after stabbing the man several times, leaving wounds on his face and abdomen.

The woman described the man's car as a dull gray, older-model Chevrolet Caprice Classic.

Anyone with information about the man is asked to call the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office at 910-323-1500.

Here we go again, another woman getting assaulted because she got in a car with a strange man.

There have been several cases in Fayetteville where the woman has gotten into a car with a complete stranger and has been assaulted.

Which leaves me with a question, are the women in Fayetteville programmed to be stupid or perhaps I should say do they have a rape wish.
